Our Membership options
WYC has two types of members: those who have sites with cabins and members without cabins, who enjoy only club and watersport facilities.
Membership Only - No Cabin
- Once-off Interview / Entrance Fee R4,000
- Annual Family Membership Fee: R5,170 OR
Annual Single Membership Fee: R2,585
Members with Cabin
Should you be interested in purchasing a site, the fees are as follows:
- Interview Fee R4,000
- Once-off Entrance Fee (for a proposed site owner): R32,000
- Annual Family Membership Fee: R5,170 OR
Annual Single Membership Fee: R2,585 - Annual Site Fee: R12,650
- Annual Security Levy per Cabin: R3,100
- Annual Boat Shed Fee: R2,585 (if applicable)
Important Information
- Membership fees are reviewed annually in July during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- The land belongs to the Department of Water And Sanitation (DWS) and is leased from the department on a long-term basis.
- Worcester Yacht Club does not own the property, and you will not receive a title deed.
- You can only acquire rights to a site once you have been accepted as a member.
Application Process
- Download the New Members Application Form below and email the completed form to bookings@wyc.co.za
- Pay the R4,000 deposit using the banking details in the form.
- Attend an interview with the Committee members.
- Your application will be posted on the club notice board for two weeks. If you know any existing members, they may propose and second your application.
- After two weeks, you’ll receive a welcome letter with your membership number.
