Since 1952, Worcester Yacht Club has welcomed watersport enthusiasts, campers, and families to Brandvlei Dam.
Nestled just 10 minutes from Worcester and surrounded by wine farms, restaurants, and 4×4 trails, WYC is a haven for sailing, boating, skiing, kite surfing, fishing, and relaxed weekends by the water.

Campsites: Our 19 lawned sites offer stunning views across the water and are conveniently located near the clubhouse and brand-new ablution facilities.
Cabins: Worcester Yacht Club comprises 86 privately owned cabins. From time to time, cabins become available for sale to members. Contact us if you are interested in owning your own piece of African paradise.

Popular catches include carp, whitefish, bluegills, bigmouth bass, and smallmouth black bass. Whitefish may not be removed from the water.

Braai Area
The clubhouse includes a covered braai area, perfect for relaxed gatherings after a day on the water.
Pool Table
A pool table is available at the clubhouse for members and guests. You’re welcome to bring your own cues.
Clubhouse & Venue Hire
The clubhouse and bar, complete with a covered braai area, provide the perfect space to relax or host events. Our fully equipped venue is available for corporate functions, meetings, and presentations, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Brandvlei Dam and the Breede Valley.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can day visitors use the facilities?
Day visitor admission is from 08:00 to 17:00. Due to safety and space constraints, day visitor numbers are limited at the discretion of WYC management.

What boating rules apply on Brandvlei Dam?
All skippers must have a valid SAMSA skipper’s license. Each boat must also have a current Certificate of Fitness (COF) and a Buoyancy Certificate. These documents must be presented on launching — boats that do not comply will not be allowed on the water.
Are jetskis allowed at Worcester Yacht Club?
Is there a rescue team on duty?
During the summer season, Worcester Yacht Club has a rescue team on duty to ensure the safety of all watersport participants.
